Fylost Roto-Plastics (OZpoly) grows with their Ironbark® Manufacturing System…


Company Profile

OzPoly (previously Fylost Roto Plastics) commenced operations in 21983 at their Innisfail, QLD manufacturing plant, specializing in the manufacture of fibreglass products for commercial and industrial applications.  Over a period of seven years the company developed a reputation for supplying high quality fabricated fiberglass tanks designed specifically for the Aqua-cultural Industry.

In 1989, the company's directors anticipated a move in the market away from fiberglass to Rotationally Moulded products using polyethylene.  Later that year, OzPoly acquired its first rotational moulding machine, the first of three CNC machines owned byt the company in Innisfail.  This makes Oz Poly the longest established rotational moulder in QLD, providing an extensive range of products and targeting new markets, not previously satisifed by fiberglass.  These products include water, molasses and chemical storage tanks, troughs and other custom moulded products.

Business Issues

OzPoly were utilizing an off the shelf product for their financial management requirements but were unfortunately experiencing minimal flexibility of that system with the lack of customization and development available from this other vendor. The system was not meeting their manufacturing needs.
