Foodstuffs Fresh Goes Live with Ironbark® WMS

May 1st, 2008 by ironbark

A client since 2004, Foodstuffs Fresh first implemented the Ironbark Fresh Produce system
in August of that year.

Since this time, Ironbark together with Foodstuffs Fresh has further developed the
Ironbark Fresh system to meet Foodstuffs Freshs’ specific requirements; one such
requirement being a reliable Warehouse Management System (WMS).

The necessity was there to move from a Pick by Line system to a Cross Docking (Pick on
Receiving) system.

Since its implementation in February this year, Ironbark WMS has helped to reduce two
major risks for Foodstuffs Fresh which was staffing issues and tight timeframes.

“Our business will increase by 80% so this change will allow us to get through the high
level of volume processing on time to continue to services our customers.” Gareth
White, General Manager – Foodstuffs Fresh.

Other benefits of implementing Ironbark WMS are the gains in productivity and accuracy
of pick.

Endeavour Petroleum Goes Live with Ironbark® Fuel Management System

December 10th, 2007 by ironbark

Endeavour Petroleum has gone live with the Ironbark Fuel Management system.
Endeavour Petroleum has been established since 1991 and has a network of 10 retail
convenience stores in the Gippsland region of Victoria.

Endeavour Petroleum were previously using Radiant Financials, but with Radiant moving
their focus towards the POS/front end system, Endeavour Petroleum sought an
accounting/fuel management system that could manage their growing fuel operation.
Endeavour Petroleum selected the Ironbark Fuel Management system because of
Ironbark’s long standing industry reputation as a reliable and secure, service and
solutions supplier.

“Many of the mid to large fuel operators are utilizing the Ironbark Fuel Management
solution with great results. This provided us with the confidence; confirming our decision
to choose Ironbark Software and their services,” says Jim Arthurson, General Manager of
Endeavour Petroleum.

Ironbark Software have specifically developed this solution for clients in the fuel industry
which encompasses third party interfaces for front of house management (i.e. Radiant,
OnQ, Breeze, etc); enabling full communication and reporting between the two, as well
as PDC Billing, Sales Analysis and Margin Reports, Sales Orders with TGP and Complex
Pricing Models, Delivery Scheduling, Mobile Truck Computing and Commission Agent
Control.

“We could see that the Ironbark Fuel Management system would be able to deliver our
specific requirements for the management of our retail fuel sites. The detailed and
comprehensive reporting mechanisms available from Ironbark were an attractive
feature, as well as the interface that communicates with our front of house system,” says
Arthurson.

“We are constantly updating and developing the fuel system to suit our client’s ever
changing needs. Our fuel management solution is capable of driving our client’s profits
forward, streamlining their existing processes and improving their overall IT infrastructure,”
says Sacha Fahy, Development Team Leader for Endeavour Petroleum.

Endeavour Petroleum implemented: Accounts Payable, Asset Register, General Ledger,
Radiant Interface, Cash Flow and Fuel Management Reports.

Endeavour went live with Ironbark Fuel Distribution Software in November 2007.

Steel Central Goes Live with Ironbark® Manufacturing

November 29th, 2007 by ironbark

Steel Central has gone live with the Ironbark Manufacturing system.

Established in 2002, Steel Central Pty Ltd is a locally owned and operated company that
has fast established itself as a quality steel supply and processing specialist to the Mining,
Construction, Engineering and General Fabrication industries.

Steel Central were previously using the COBOL version of Ironbark, but decided to make
the switch to the latest C# version of Ironbark Manufacturing.

Ironbark was originally chosen as the preferred solutions provider as they had the ability
to customize their systems to Steel Central’s specific requirements.

Brendan Keates, Managing Director of Steel Central says, “We chose Ironbark because
we didn’t have to change our processes to suit the system. The system was customized
to suit us…”

An Ironbark client for 5 years, Steel Central wanted to keep their systems up to date. The
new version of Ironbark Manufacturing provided for better functionality and ease of use.
“There was value in upgrading to the new version of Ironbark. We could see that it was
a system that could take us into the future, and with our second branch on the verge of
opening, it was a necessary investment into IT…” says Mr. Keates.

Simon Bridger, Development Team Leader for Steel Central says, “The Ironbark
Manufacturing system will provide the infrastructure required by Steel Central. We have
worked closely with this client to customize their system [and for many other clients as
well] to help them effectively manage and streamline their business. This is our
strength…”

In the near future, Steel Central will also be looking to implement other add-on Ironbark
modules such as Ironbark Delivery Scheduling and Ironbark CRM.

“Unlike other Manufacturing solutions, Ironbark has allowed us to run our manufacturing
operation the way we want to. We don’t have to conform to a system that limits the
possibility of changing our processes and/or our system. Ironbark Manufacturing has
supplied us with the tools to successfully operate our steel supply business. We would
recommend the Ironbark solution to members of the Manufacturing industry…”
concludes Mr. Keates.

Totally Workwear Cairns Goes Live with Ironbark

November 1st, 2007 by ironbark

Totally Workwear Cairns have gone live with the Ironbark Totally Workwear system.
Established in 1965, Totally Workwear are the specialists in work wear. Each store is
locally owned and operated with over 41 stores around Australia with locations in every
state with further expansion planned for the group in 2008.

Totally Workwear Cairns were previously using the older COBOL version of Ironbark, but
at that point in time, there had been minimal development of the COBOL system.
Totally Workwear Cairns were attracted to another software vendor, even implementing
this other vendor’s solution. Over the course of 3 years, their system requirements were
not fulfilled.

“We returned back to Ironbark, but this time on the new Ironbark C# (C Sharp) system.
We had heard good things about the newer version of Ironbark from 2 or 3 other Totally
Workwear sites who underwent a recent upgrade. The solution that had originally been
replaced by Ironbark was not performing to the standard we had hoped for so we
came back to Ironbark as it is a proven, reliable system”, says Chris Kingsbury – Owner of
Totally Workwear Cairns.

Ironbark’s focus has been on the development of Ironbark C# (C Sharp) as opposed to
development on the Ironbark COBOL system.

Sacha Fahy, Development Team Leader for Totally Workwear Cairns says, “Ironbark C# is
far more robust and stable than previous versions. The COBOL version does not provide
us with the tools for development as it is written in an older platform. To maintain our
competitive technological edge, it has been necessary for our team to move onto
progressive up-to-date software platforms. For this reason many clients are upgrading
from Ironbark COBOL and/or selecting Ironbark to be their preferred solutions provider…”

At the end of September, Totally Workwear Cairns implemented a full Ironbark system
consisting of Debtors, Creditors, General Ledger, Bank Reconciliation, Customer Orders,
POS, Purchase Orders, Stock, Sales Analysis, Payroll and Quotes.

Ironbark has also supplied Totally Workwear Cairns with LAPOS point of sale printers and
RF/Barcode scanning hardware for easier stock management.

“We are an extremely busy store usually running at 200%. To aid in the management of
our stock lines, we will be implementing our newly purchased RF/Barcode scanning
devices” says Kingsbury.

The implementation of RF/Barcode scanning devices is an attractive solution for many
clients who are looking to make their stock control processes easier. These devices are
fully integrated into the Ironbark system which makes the tracking of stock alot simpler.
This especially relates to clients who undergo heavy amounts of daily stock transactions.
“The future looks bright. We look forward to our ongoing partnership with Ironbark
Software” says Kingsbury.

Totally Workwear Joondalup, Bunbury and Mackay Upgrade to Ironbark C#

June 1st, 2007 by ironbark

Totally Workwear Joondalup, Bunbury and Mackay have upgraded their Cobol systems to
Ironbark C#.

Established in 1965, Totally Workwear are the specialists in work wear. Each store is locally
owned and operated with over 41 stores around Australia with locations in every state.

Ironbark C# is fundamentally similar to Cobol, but there are advantages to the C# system
which include more ledger traceability, better audit control and integration with third
party software and analysis tools.

The new features were made possible my upgrading the programming language from the
original Cobol to Microsoft’s latest language C#.

Sacha Fahy, Ironbark Software’s Development Manager says “Better security is just one
benefit of the latest Ironbark C# system. Customers will also have more control over
menus than ever before and will find it easier to audit and balance general ledgers. Our
commitment to R&D is a key factor in the successful rollout of Ironbark C# with full help
desk support facilities available to clients. The need for innovative technology has spurred
the improvement of our systems which are being demanded by clients and potential
clients alike. Development keeps us up to date in a competitive software market. The
older version of Ironbark does not provide for major system advancements and this is why
our focus is lying mainly on the development of Ironbark C#…”

Whilst no new training is required for existing Ironbark customers who wish to upgrade,
Ironbark highly recommend it.

“The programs are more powerful than our customers realize and by utilizing our training
resources, our customers can learn how to use the latest C# Ironbark system which will
save time and money in the long run…” says Fahy.

Going live with Ironbark C# in April, Totally Workwear Joondalup are reaping the benefits
of the new Ironbark system.

Kevin Moore, the Proprietor of the Joondalup store and customer of Ironbark for over 8
years says “Early benefits of using the new Ironbark are the new features that allow us to
maximize the power of the software and take some of the labour intensive tasks out of our
processes…”

The need to stay up to date with advances in technology was one of the key reasons for
the upgrade to C# by Totally Workwear Joondalup.

Some of the main differences noticed by Joondalup include the ability to email PDF files
directly from the system and the overall ease of use of the windows format.
Integration to other 3rd parties will be setup for Joondalup later in the year with
EDI ordering options on the table.

Totally Workwear Joondalup use only Ironbark to run their business from beginning to end
with Bill of Materials, General Ledger, Debtors, Creditors, Customer Orders, Payroll, Stock,
Suppliers Orders and Quotes currently installed.

When asked if Ironbark C# has met their expectations, Kevin Moore of Joondalup replied
“Yes, most definitely…”

He goes on to say, “We are strongly of the opinion that an up to date and fully integrated
computer system is vital to a business if you wish to grow and be part of the modern
business world. Our Ironbark computer systems has played an enormous part in the
successful management and administration of our business…”

Also going live with Ironbark C# is Totally Workwear Mackay, an Ironbark client for over 10
years…

“Our old Ironbark system was great; but we needed something to take us into the next 10
years. Ironbark’s C# system has offered us the tools to make this happen.”
Roy & Beryl Redfern, Directors – Totally Workwear Mackay.

Totally Workwear Bunbury also upgraded their Cobol systems to Ironbark C#. Located in
Western Australia, Totally Workwear Bunbury have been a client of Ironbark’s for over
9 years.

Big Hammer upgrades to the new and improved Ironbark Timber in C#

February 3rd, 2006 by ironbark

Ironbark Software’s popular Ironbark Timber program has been upgraded with new
functionality and speed.

Whilst the program will remain fundamentally similar, advantages will include more
ledger traceability, better audit control and will integrate easier with third party
software and analysis tools.

The new features were made possible by upgrading the programming language from
the original Cobol to Microsoft’s most current language C#.
Sacha Fahy, Ironbark Software’s Development Managersaid that better security was
just one benefit of the updated Ironbark Timber.

“Customers will have more control over menus than before and will find it easier to
audit and balance general ledgers.”

“Whilst no new training is required for existing Ironbark Timber customers who wish to
upgrade, we highly recommend it.”

“The programs are more powerful and complex than customers realize, and by utilizing
our training programs customers can learn to use Ironbark Timber quicker and learn
new ways to save time and improve their business,” says Fahy.

One customer that has already benefited from the upgraded Ironbark Timber program
is North Queensland based Big Hammer.

Big Hammer have been a customer of Ironbark Software for fifteen years and felt that
it was time to upgrade their Cobol Ironbark Timber software system to the new and
improved C# version.

Big Hammer went live with the new program just before Christmas and have already
noticed improvements.

“The screens are more user friendly and it is quicker to the user,” said Carl Ward,
General Manager of Big Hammer.

“It is easier to look up information, which means that either in person or on the phone
we are able to locate information and service our customers more efficiently” said
Mr Ward.

Big Hammer also made use of the training provided by Ironbark Software, and are
already utilising Ironbark Timber in ways they previously didn’t.
“We had Michele (a Systems Consultant Trainer from Ironbark Software) visit for a week
in November and she was on – site when we went live with C# which made the
transition easier for us.”

“With our previous Cobol Ironbark Timber system we had never used the Ironbark
Payroll module, but after our training we now do,” said Mr Ward.

“While it is still early days, I think we haven’t yet seen the full benefits available from our
new Ironbark Timber program.”
